Chelmsford Friends of the Library The Friends' Mission
Statement Congratulations
to the Friends of the Library
The Friends are always looking for a few good members to serve as officers. Please consider becoming active in the Friends organization this year. The Friends meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30, usually meet in the conference room at the main library. Please check with the Reference Desk for up-to-date information. These meetings are open to the public.
Why should I Join the Friends? If you wish to get more involved in your public library, consider joining the Friends of the Library. The Friends group enhances the effectiveness of the Chelmsford Public Library by providing both financial and volunteer support. This support makes possible educational and public service programs for adults and children, as well as museum passes, computer workstations, equipment, and furniture for both the Anna C. MacKay Branch and the Main Library. Your membership in this organization entitles you to receive Friends' mailings including the seasonal newsletter, Library Lines, to keep you informed about library programs, issues, and new resources. Membership in the Friends also entitled non-Chelmsford residents to use the library's museum passes (which are funded by the Friends). Here are some common ways members participate in the Friends:
Joining the Friends of the Library is easy. Simply print out a Friends application form, complete it, and return it with your donation to: Friends of the Library
