The Friends of the Library Book Sale is a significant source of funding for library programming, museum passes and many extras for Chelmsford patrons. The community's support through donations and volunteer hours is greatly appreciated.

The Friends' 2014 Book Sale brought in $26,618.50!

Book Donations:book donations

January 20, 2015 is the last date for book donations.
The Friends will lose their storage space as the town phases out the Dutton House.

The Book Donation box, located on the edge of the parking lot between the Library and the Dutton House will be removed Jan 20.

The Chelmsford Friends of the Library hope to resume collecting books again for the annual Book Sale in the near future!
Please check back in the summer for an update on book donations.

Drop Off Guidelines-effective until Jan 20, 2015

The drop-off location is the Dutton House (the yellow house next to the main library). The Friends seek books of all kinds in good condition including recent best sellers, fiction, non-fiction, children's books, paperbacks - as well as audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, maps, and local interest items.

If you are unable to make one of the scheduled drop-offs, you can use the Book Sale Donation box, located on the edge of the parking lot between the Library and the Dutton House. Or, if you are emptying a house or an estate and would like to donate a large collection of books, please contact the Friends directly to make special arrangements.
