Music and Science Programs for Children

We have some special programs in July for children of all ages.

MUSIC:
There are 2 evening concerts at our MacKay Branch in North Chelmsford:
TomVin copyThe Toe Jam Band, with Tom and Vinny, will be here on Wednesday, July 13 at 6:30 pm.

This is a repeat performance, because the children loved them so much last time. This program is very appropriate for young children.

The other concert for kids at MacKay this summer features Ben Rudnick and Friends.

Ben has entertained us for several years at our Teddy Bear Concertben rudnick for preschoolers.  He has also appeared on the Town Common.  This year he will be at MacKay.  Join us on Wednesday,  July 20 at 6:30 pm for lots of great music, including some silly songs.

SCIENCE:
Yo-yo master Ooch will be at the Main Library on Thursday, July 14 at 10:30 am. He’ll dazzle us with his yo-yo tricks and then explain the science behind them.
We recommend this program for ages 6 and up.

This program is sponsored by the kdkfoundation.

The Museum of Science will bring their portable Planetarium to the Main Library!
We will have 4 shows on Thursday, July 21.  You have a choice of the following times:  10:30, 11:15, 12:00 and 1:00. Adults may attend with children, just indicate that on the registration form.  Online registration begins July 7.  You must be at least 6 years old to attend this program.  No younger siblings please.  Parents do not need to attend with the children.  Supervising younger siblings in the Children’s Room is best.

Check the Events Calendar for many more programs this summer.
