2006 - Watercolor Art
Rosalie M. Bacon
Rosalie, a Westford resident, is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art. In recent years she has studied with George Shedd, Nancy Russo, and Kathy Swantee and has been exhibiting in the local area. She is a watercolorist who particularly enjoys painting flowers with all of their wonderful colorations and intricacies.
Jean lives in Nashua, N.H. with her husband and is a former employee of the CPL, having retired three years ago. She has studied with Nancy Russo, Andy Kusmin, and George Shedd and feels she has gained valuable insights from each. Her artwork has been exhibited locally throughout MA and N.H. Jean relates, "Painting has been very therapeutic for me. Forgetting my worries and cares, I become completely absorbed in the subject I am painting and feel an inner sense of serenity and peace."
Barbara Rubner is a local Westford artist. She taught art and art history for 23 years in the Waltham School System. She has studied water color with Nancy Russo of Westford, George Shedd of Lexington, Andrew Kusmin of Plymouth and Kathy Swantee in Chelmsford.
Pauline is one of just a few of us who can say that she's lived in the same town all of her life. She and her husband Al live in a lovely Cape Cod cottage in Tyngsboro, a few doors down from the house she was born in. She enjoys gardening and also the fruits of her bountiful, beautiful vegetable garden, as do her many relatives and friends. Pauline has studied with Nancy Russo and has exhibited locally.
Sherry Liu has lived in Chelmsford for the past ten years. She began studying watercolor about a year ago, with Kathy Swantee. Sherry often paints with a group of friends who share her interest in watercolor. She is very grateful to be in the company of such great artists who can help her skills evolve. Not only have artist friends brought more color into her life, she says, but their works have inspired her as well.
