The Contra Banditos are a New England Contra Dance Band. They perform traditional old time fiddle and celtic music for dances, parties and festivals. Their music combines traditional reels, jigs, waltzes and polkas with songs and other syles of music from cajun to old time, blue grass and folk.

The Contra Banditos formed in the late eighties as a small group of friends playing music together. The band has since evolved into a larger group of regular players on a wide variety of traditonal instruments...... fiddle, whistle, flute, banjo, mandolin, guitar, keyboards, bass, harmonica, accordion, bones and bodhran>

The Contra Banditos enjoy playing music for the benefit and enjoyment of the community. They would like to preserve and promote the knowledge and practice of traditional New England dancing and to keep the spirit of old time music alive. www.contrabanditos.com
