Esther MacDonald

Author of the children's book, "Waiting and Wading: the Adventures of Macy the Black Dog”

Esther MacDonald lives in Chelmsford, MA. She and her husband, Colin, raised their three children in Chelmsford. She is the proud grandmother of three grandsons. As a teacher in Lowell, MA, she believes in the power of reading as an avenue for adventure. She encourages her students to pay attention to what is happening in their lives- they may have material to write about! Their dog, Macy, was the inspiration for her book, “Waiting and Wading.” Her greatest hope is that her students realize how exciting the world can be through the love of reading and using their imagination. Anything becomes a possibility.
