Get out your dancing shoes! Grupo Fantasia, nominated for "Best World Music Act" at the 16th annual Boston Music Awards, brings our music series to a close, but you'll be dancing to their rhythms for months! Grupo Fantasia's repertoire includes Merengue, Salsa, Reggae, Mariachi, Cuban and Latin jazz and more!

Fantasia has won many awards in Latin categories, including Boston's prestigious 1993 Expose Award for BEST SPANISH BAND (1993), runner up in the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce Award for Education (1999) and The 2003 Boston Music Award Nominee for BEST WORLD CLASS ACT. Angel Wagner, musical director of Grupo Fantasia, has filmed television programs including: "Pachanga Latina" for WUNI 27, PBS programs and "Mosaic" for WLVI TV 56 in Boston. Film credits include "THE BLUE DINER" (2001). Fantasia regularly performs at such Boston clubs as Avalon, Europa, The Roxy, Destinations and The Jorge Hernandez Cultural Center.

The concert will be held outdoors at MacKay Library, 43 Newfield St., Chelmsford, MA, beginning at 6:30 PM. In case of rain or threat of rain the concert will be moved to the Chelmsford Senior Center, 75 Groton Rd., North Chelmsford. The program is free and open to the public.
