Join us for a delightful, delicious evening of words, wine and food, and help us kick off Chelmsford’s Winterfest. "A Taste of the South," a community social with samplings of foods, wine, beer, coffees etc., will take place in the main library on the first evening of Chelmsford's WinterFest. We will be working with area restaurants to set up stations to celebrate the literature and foods of the South. This event is inspired by our 2008 'One Book Chelmsford' title, "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee which takes place in the South. We will transform our circulation desk into a cash bar and tastings area so you can sample some of the recommended wines and beer.

Book Sharing Corner: We will set aside a quiet space in the library for an intimate “book sharing” opportunity. The classic novel, “To Kill a Mockingbird” has been defined by many readers as a book that changed their lives. We’d love to hear how this novel may have affected you, and we’d love to learn what other great books you would recommend. What books had powerful impacts on your thinking and on your life? Let’s make a list and share it with others in our community.

You can purchase a ticket at the Library or at the town manager's office in mid-January. Tickets are $15 to help defray the food costs. Space is limited.
