Bob McHenry and Friends

Bob Ullman-
Born and raised in New York City, Bob was influenced by great guitarists such as Herb Elllis, Joe Pass, and Django Reinhart. He attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music and he performs in New England with various small jazz groups and big band orchestras.

Originally from the Springfield/Wilbraham area in the western part of the state, Bob grew up with and played with some really great musicians who made music their careers such as Phil Woods (alto Sax) Joe Morello (drums), and Sal Salvador (guitar).
In over 56 years of playing music Bob has played acoustic upright bass (and more recently electric upright bass) with many small jazz groups in the area as well as big bands such as the Frank Chalis Orchestra in Springfield, the Billy May Road Band, the Marty Paich DekTet, and the local Chris Powers Big Band. Additionally Bob has performed in small jazz groups playing in New York resort hotels and appeared in a number of older radio shows including “The Meredith Wilson Music Room” in NYC.
