Wireless access to the internet is available at both the Main Library and the MacKay Branch at no charge, 24 hours a day. The name of our network is Library Guest, and there is no password.
The best reception will be from inside the buildings, but it should also be available from the parking lots near the buildings too.
Please note that while this is a secure network, it is open to the public and the library cannot be responsible for damage to your hardware or data.
The library has a variety of technology options for our patrons at both the Main Library and MacKay Branch:
- Public computers with internet access and Microsoft Office programs are available on the Lower Level of the Main Library and the first floor of the MacKay Branch
- Children’s computers and iPads are available in the Children’s Room of the Main Library and in the Children’s Section of the MacKay Branch
A low-vision computer, with ZoomText software and a low-mobility keyboard, is available in the Large Print Room of the Main Library. Please visit our ADA Accessibility page for more information.
- Laptops are available for in-library use at the Reference Desk on the Lower Level of the Main Library and at the MacKay Branch. These are limited to patrons at least 18 years old, and circulate for 2 hours.
