Our first story today was about some unusual friends:

We talked about whether cats and mice are usually friends, and what might happen if they were.  I’m relieved to report the story has a happy ending!

With this story, we could have counted a million jelly beans if we’d had the time!  We discovered that a million is a big, big number– the book has a giant foldout page with a million jelly beans in all different colors.
