Today’s Preschool Storytime books had a common theme: the moon! We started with Ida Pearle’s The Moon is Going to Addy’s House. After watching the moon follow Addy home, we watched a poor kitten try to catch the “little bowl of milk in the sky” in Kevin Henke’s award-winning Kitten’s First Full Moon.

One Moon, Two Cats by Laura Godwin was followed up by a flannel board of Mae & the Moon by Jami Gigot. We watched as the moon got smaller and then bigger again in the night sky.

After building our own rocket ships with our trusty hammers and flying to the moon like Mae, we settled in for one more story: Gabriel Alborozo’s The Mouse and the Moon.
