Books for Preschoolers on Wed., Oct. 26

We started  with some spooky fun today wImage of itemith Kathryn O. Galbraith’s Boo, Bunny! After reading about two brave bunnies trick-or-treating in the dark, we went on a ghost hunt (a variation of last week’s We’re Going on a Bear Hunt). It was a lot of fun being brave together and finding a ghost in a haunted housImage of iteme!

The ghost hunt gave me the wiggles, so after working out those wiggles with body rhymes, we read Wiggle by Doreen Cronin. “Would you join me for a wiggle? Would you wiggle on the moon? I think we’re out of wiggles now. See you wiggle soon!”

Image of itemGood-Night, Owl! by Pat Hutchins Image of itemwas our next book. Poor owl can’t get to sleep with so many other animals making noise! After hearing some of the sounds different birds make , we read a really fun read-aloud, Antoinette Portis’s Froodle. When little brown bird decides to say something other than “peep,” the other birds try being silly, too!

Finally, weImage of item read a beautiful fall story, The Little Yellow Leaf  by Carin Berger. One leaf has a hard time letting go of his tree like all the other leaves until he finds a friend.

Thank you for joining me for storytime. See you next week!
