Hispanic Heritage Month 2026 Display
We are halfway through September, which means we have officially hit National Hispanic American Heritage Month. Each year from September 15th to October 15th we celebrate the accomplishments, culture, history, traditions, and cultural diversity of Hispanic Americans. We choose to observe this heritage in mid-September to highlight the 5 countries that celebrate their independence from Spain on September 15th—Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Honduras—along with Mexico and Chile's independence days on September 16th and 18th, respectively.
If you head into the library anytime between now and October 15th, you'll find a selection of titles by Hispanic and Latine authors on display for you to peruse. In the meantime, here are just a few stories you may enjoy:
