Summer is for Makers on CreativeBug
Any time is making time with CreativeBug! Whether you have a lot of time or just a little time on your hands, there's a craft for your interest and skill level. Have a look at the newest classes premiering this month:
Sew an Accordion Travel Pouch available now

Imagine Dad's old accordion file. Now make it smaller, softer, and cute to boot! Learn to design, plan, and sew a compact carrying case for keepsakes and more. Keep jewelry, coins, or other treasures in individual compartments for safekeeping, or take it on vacation empty, and fill it with mementos as you go.
Mixtape: Paint and Draw Candy available June 4

Visualize your favorite sweet treats and create a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece as six different artists share their perspectives and techniques in painting and drawing. Draw lollipops, junk food, chocolates and other treats along with this curated playlist of veteran CreativeBug instructors.
On June 6 and June 11, Twinkie Chan returns with two fundamental technical demos for knitting and crocheting: Invisible Yarn Joins For Knit and Crochet and How to Wind a Center-Pull Ball Of Yarn.

These are two level-up skills that solve problems that all types of crocheters and knitters contend with. Twinkie will show you four techniques for seamlessly joining yarn in the middle of a project: the magic knot, the weaver's knot, the Russian join, and the braided join.

In the second class, she'll take you through the time-saving skill of winding your own center-pull ball of yarn. This is a game-changer for folks who want to buy yarn from local shops (as opposed to the skeins available in big-box craft stores), where it's sold in hanks, which can become a tangled mess if you try to work from them directly.
Paper Quill Mini Potted Flowers available June 18

Learn to make beautiful bouquets of flowers as Nikki Furlong guides you through her paper quilling techniques. Coiling long thin paper strips, you'll learn to manipulate the material into botanical forms, all the way to a finished product to bring life to your space year-round, or to brighten someone else's as a gift from your own heart and hands.
Draft and Sew a Tiered Dress available June 25

Sanae Ishida will guide you through a handsewn tiered dress that's perfect for the warm season. This class builds on the torso sloper from her foundational class and shows you how to gather the skirt, add pockets(!!!) and add your own details.
