Read Learn Grow - Becky Herrmann Memorial Artwork

On August 30, 2025, the Chelmsford Public Library celebrated the legacy of former director Becky Herrmann and dedicated Read.Learn.Grow, the new memorial artwork in our courtyard! We were thrilled to have Becky’s family, friends, and members of the community there to see current director Lesley Kimball, artist Chris Polson, and many others speak up about what an impact she had on the town of Chelmsford and the tradition of reading and excellence that the library stands for. 

Becky loved the community and she generously cultivated a library that invites everyone to read, learn, and grow together. With this work of art, we also honor her love for gardening and her dream of filling the world with beauty. We are so grateful for her leadership and will deeply miss her presence in our library.
