Books for Preschoolers on Wed., Nov. 23
Preschool storytime was so much fun today! We started with Cynthia Rylant’s In November, a lovely book about one of my favorite months.
After pretending to be turkeys for a bit, we moved on to Gobble Gobble Crash! A Barnyard Counting Bash by Julie Stiegemeyer. This silly book has the turkeys causing a ruckus on the farm. When the farmer wakes up, the other animals help the turkeys hide. We had fun searching for the hiding turkeys together.
Since we were already on the farm, we moved on to Moo! by David LaRochelle. This is one of my favorite books to read aloud. There are only two words in the book but the way you read them helps show how important tone and inflection are to how we communicate with language.
Todd Parr’s The Thankful Book finished out our storytime today. I’m so thankful that you joined me. See you next week!
